VitamCV uses a minimal set of cookies and local storage, limited to what is strictly necessary or useful for the service:

• Essential — Supabase Auth Cookie: This cookie is required for authentication. It maintains your login session and allows VitamCV to recognize you as a logged-in user. Without this cookie, you cannot use the authenticated features of the service. Type: HTTP cookie. Duration: session-based, refreshed automatically. Cannot be disabled.
• Functional — Cookie Consent Status (localStorage): This entry in your browser's localStorage records whether you have accepted or declined non-essential cookies. It allows us to remember your cookie preferences without asking you again on each visit. Type: localStorage. Duration: persistent until cleared. Cannot be disabled (required to remember your choice).
• Analytics — Vercel Analytics: Vercel Analytics is a privacy-friendly analytics tool that collects anonymous usage data (page views, performance metrics) without using cookies and without collecting personally identifiable information. It helps us understand how the site is used and improve performance. Type: cookieless, beacon-based. No personal data collected. Can be disabled via your cookie preferences.

You can manage cookies through several methods:

• Cookie consent banner: When you first visit VitamCV, a consent banner allows you to accept or decline non-essential cookies (analytics). Essential cookies cannot be disabled as they are required for the service to function.
• Browser settings: Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their privacy settings. Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging into VitamCV.
• Clearing localStorage: You can clear localStorage entries through your browser's developer tools (usually accessible via F12 > Application > Local Storage).

VitamCV does not use third-party tracking cookies. Our third-party services operate as follows:

• Supabase: Sets only the essential authentication cookie described above. No tracking cookies.
• Stripe: Stripe may set cookies on its own domain during payment processing (when you are redirected to a Stripe checkout page). These cookies are governed by Stripe's Cookie Policy.
• Vercel Analytics: Does not use cookies. Data collection is anonymous and cookieless.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology or legal requirements. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
